Blinde Klippe -uso del idioma alemán para referirse a Punto Ciego. Es un proyecto que incluye instalaciones, objetos y fotografías.
Tratando de entender que implicó la posibilidad primera de reproducirnos parcialmente en una imagen plana, tratando de revivir esa pulsión originaria que fundó la creencia en la imagen, e intentando conectar con las personas que posaron para esas cámaras, fui a los archivos de la Daguerrotipos SXIX. Me pregunté si es alrededor de una costumbre que se produce una imagen o si fue la creación de imágenes el primer regulador de nuestros hábitos. Retrocedí más, al surgimiento del espejo y su contribución en la construcción de nuestra identidad actual: los comienzos de una identificación que tuvo la fuerza de establecerse como representación de nosotros mismos.
A través del comportamiento actual frente a nuestro propio reflejo, Blinde Klippe evoca la latencia de aquel ritual fotográfico y cómo el mecanismo de reconocimiento frente a las imágenes involucra esta larga memoria.. La clave no es quién es el retratado, sino el funcionamiento de una imagen lanzada frente a nosotros y las directivas que de ella se activan para componernos.
Comprender un retrato es un gesto voluntarioso y conectivo, aunque la necesidad de identificación es una lucha que puede resultar frustrante, tanto como erigir una efigie con humo.

Blinde Klippe -German idiom for Blind Spot- is a project that includes installations, objects and images.
Trying to understand what was involved in the first possibility of reproducing ourselves partially in a flat image, reliving that original impulse that founded the belief in the images and trying to connect with the people who posed for those cameras, I went to the archives of the SXIX daguerreotypes. I wondered if it is around a custom that an image is produced or if the creation of images was the regulator of our habits. I went further back, to the emergence of the mirror and its contribution on the construction of our current identity: the beginnings of an identification that had the strength to settle as representation of ourselves. Through the regular behavior in front of our own reflection, Blinde Klippe evokes the latency of photographic ritual, and how, the mechanism of recognition in front of the images, involves this prolonged memory. The key is not who is the portrayed, but the functioning of an image thrown in front of us and its directives to compose us. Understanding a portrait is a willful and connective gesture, although the need for identification is a struggle that can be frustrating, as much as erecting a smoke effigy.
